These days people use all sorts of non-computer related devices when they are setting up their home networks. A few of the major devices that are used are multimedia devices, tablet computers, cellular telephones, and video game consoles. Each of these devices can be seamlessly integrated with a persons home wireless network.
Multimedia devices are becoming a regular sight in most peoples living rooms. These small devices hook up directly to a HD televisions HDMI port and allow streaming of media across the wireless network so that media can be shared everywhere.
Tablet computing is gaining popularity everyday. The Ipad really started the revolution, but now there are pads from numerous vendors. Just about all of these devices come with some form of wireless built in so that they can be used in the home.
Some cellular phone providers charge for bandwidth overages, so many users make use of the internal wireless capabilities of the device to surf on their home network. This can save them a lot of money.
All three of the major video game consoles that are out now have some form of built in networking available so that people can play online with their friends.
It is important to keep all of the above uses in mind when one sets up their home network.
